Candy is a beautiful 9 month old, 45 lb Great Pyrenees mix.
Candy should win an award for friendliest, most congenial puppy. She loves everyone she meets, and she greets them with enthusiasm! There is not a shy bone in her body! She is also very entertaining and will keep you laughing with her puppy antics. Candy is in need of some training though. She jumps on people when she meets them, and she doesn't seem to know any boundaries.
She's very smart and treat motivated, so she will improve quickly with a few positive, reward based training sessions. Candy has a heart murmur which cannot be corrected with surgery. She sure doesn't act like she has a heart condition, but adopters will need to limit her activity when they can, like taking several short walks rather than a long run. We at Humane Tomorrow think Candy deserves to find her forever home with an adopter who understands her condition will not improve but can be maintained with inexpensive medication. Candy likes other dogs, but she will do best as an only dog to help reduce her activity level. Candy is also good with kids, but she could accidentally knock over toddler aged kids with her enthusiastic greeting.
Candy will be such a great companion for the right adopter.
